Kenny
Brewer was selling his old mini modified tractor, Daffy Dodge. During
a conversation with Mike Kowalski about the future of Daffy Dodge they
came up with an idea that would keep the tractor in the partnership by
letting Stephnie, Mike's daughter and Chad, Kenny's son drive the tractor
together. Chad and Stephanie progressed in their pulling careers and began
riding Raz-A-Ma-Taz, the newly renovated Daffy Dodge. This mini modified
tractor had a 440 Mopar engine with fuel injection.
In the winter of 2002
Raz was transformed, once again, into Barbwire-N-Roses.In 2002 the latest
tractor, Barbwire-N-Roses was added to the MiniMotorsports
team. A 512 cubic inch Ford that made it NTPA legal and ready to take
it's place in the ranks of mini modified tractor hall of champions. Mike
and Kenny worked all winter in the "Fab Shop" ensuring Barbwire-N-Roses
would be ready for competition for the 2003 season. With its new red,
white and blue paint scheme, including a matching helmet, the tractor
was ready for Stef and Chad to hit the NTPA pulling circuit with both
dads' watching anxiously on the sidelines.

Chad Brewer is a native of Bristol graduated high school there and is
a student at Emory HenryCollege on an athletic scholarship. Being a full
time college student takes a lot of Chad's time. But what little free
time Chad does have is spent with the Mini Motorsports Pulling
Team of Bristol.
It could be said that
Chad was destined to be a tractor pull competitor. His first tractor,
ReeRee's Nightmare, was a 16hp Cub Cadet garden tractor. This tractor
was acquired through a "trade" when Chad's mother was still
pregnant with him. Until Chad was tall enough to reach the clutch and
brakes of the ReeRee boys in his neighborhood drove the tractor to be
points champions. At age 7 when Chad could drive his tractor himself he
picked up where the other boys left off and was points champion for 9
consecutive years.

Stephnie Kowalski Branscomb was born in Boise Idaho during her parent's
term in the US military. You could say motor oil ran in her veins from
an early age as her father, Mike Kowalski was involved with auto racing
in one form or another since her birth. Stef got involved in tractor pulling
when her father, Mike had his first four wheel drive truck on the NTPA
circuit in 1989. Stephanie
drove her Dad's 1965 Pro-Street 4-Wheel drive Ford Truck once in the powder
puff class and won
she was hooked.
From that point on she
wanted to know everything about the sport and how the tractors worked.
From Stephanie helping her father and becoming a fixture at the pulls
she ended up announcing for the pulls in Abingdon. Stephanie continued
announcing the events in Abingdon for two seasons. Kenny Brewer was selling
Daffy Dodge, a mini modified tractor he ran in competition for several
years.
Mike and Kenny decided
Chad Brewer, Kenny's son and Stephanie needed to be behind the scenes
no longer. That's when she finely had the opportunity to drive with the
"big boys". As exciting as this may seem Stef was a bit hesitant
because she actually enjoyed the grease monkey side of the sport, she
was amazed how everything worked and the more she was taught the more
she wanted to learn. As it went she ultimately gave up nothing. Stephnie
says, "Driving is an
experience you cannot put into words. If you ever have the opportunities
DO
IT!!"
Stephnie is married
to Chuck Branscomb, Sergeant First Class now serving with the U.S. Army
Reserves in Guatemala and after his return from there; he will be departing
once again for Iraq or Afghanistan. "I am very proud of him and miss
him very much but I am glad I can spend time pulling with my family while
he is away
. it keeps me busy, when he is home he is very supportive
and travels with us as much as possible." She has one son, Chase
(7) who loves going "pulling", and two stepdaughters
.
Tanya 15 and Leigh Anne 14. Stephnie is Director of Operations with Wysong
Enterprises, Inc., a company that installs electronic newsgathering equipment
on helicopters and lives in Bristol, Tennessee.
